The best harbors to go deeper than the usual for that awesome catch are Puerto de Mog Pasito Blanco and Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico has more than 50 deep-sea fishing world records to boast of. Some well-known sailing centers in Gran Canaria are Las Palmas , the site for start off of the famous annual Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). At the south coast are Puerto Rico, Pasito Blanco, Arguineguin and Puerto de Mog . Gran Canaria has the best practicing conditions as well as some local sailing clubs. Plus, you can easily find a school here to teach you the ropes of sailing.
Windsurfing
The windsurfing havens of Playa de las Canteras in Las Palmas and G in the northwest corner will literally raise your hair with this extreme sport. It not only caters to the players themselves but also to the watchers. A good spot for observing some windsurfing action are Pozo Isquierdo and Playa de Vargas.
